You always have voices in your head talking to you and good writers will listen, ask questions, and take notes. If I recall correctly, this was a panel of 7 or so published authors and at least 6 of them completely agreed with this thought(as do I, the aspiring author).<br /><br />I don't think I'd trade the voices of the characters I've grown to love or even the voices of the characters that annoy me for a life lacking in fantasy (aka the fantastic). <br /><br />I'm glad your muse is back and that you are listening to what your muse has to say.
